I just had to find a way that works for me. And because I'm completely unreasonable when it comes to get things done when I want to get them done, I'm not ready to give up playing piano, I actually enjoy it too much when I get it right. I have already spent many months trying to sight read and had to give up, which I simply hate doing. I would not rely on "fake" systems if my brain could adapt to read piano music sheets, but it simply cannot. I agree that it's not the best system to learn, and believe me I wish I could read music. It uses a piano roll type display that turns midi note numbers into an animation of keys being lit up. Google Synthesia and you will understand the "new" way of "Piano for Everyone". So if anybody here makes piano covers of songs and can pass them to midis and wants to share them, or knows where to find them, please please help me.
I'm also following Piano4All as a piano learning method and it works, but I'm still just a beginner and I do need to get to play some pieces and songs in order to push me with my piano playing. but definitely not music or piano!!!īut yes, I do need extra help, and for now midis and Synthesia is the only method that work for me. It's just another big challenge in life for me, but one that I actually enjoy when I get it right. just to add to my dyslexia!įor me playing piano is simply something I always wanted to do even though I naturally cannot do and actually should not do if I were more logical about this. Sorry, I forgot to add that I simply have no musical ear, I'm quite tone deaf. As long as you have some experience with chords and bass lines, then this really is the ideal way to do it. I really would recommend to simply use your ear. On a more general note, I would suggest that you don't have to read music or use midis at all in order to learn to play new songs.
